Comfort at My Table, Milton (revisit in Feb 2013)

Yesterday was the 7th day of the first month in Chinese Lunar Calendar and it is also called as “Ren Ri” which literally means “Human Day” – Everyone’s Birthday! We were so happy to celebrate together with a bunch of really nice friends at Comfort at My Table :)

Mr F ordered a bowl of Flat White – it literally came in a big big bowl! And everyone staring at our coffee. HaHa! I think a cup of “name your own coffee” is $3.5, upgrade to a mug is $4.5, then why not get a bowl for $5.5 to share between the two of us😛

This is our second visit to Comfort at My Table, this restaurant is just getting busier and busier! Last time we had a One Pan Fry Up and French Toast, this time Mr F couldn’t resist to order the same thing again! (unfortunately we forgot to take pictures of our meals! so we stole GJ’s iPhone photos from facebook… for better quality food pic please see our last post – click here)

Both me and Mr F said this time it lost the “wow factor” but we still love their brekky… last time we both thought they were spectacular but this time the food looked more ordinary now?

GJ had an Open Omelette with roasted capsicum, garlic and thyme corn kernals, danish fetta, parmesan and toasted sourdough. I tried a bite and it was quite tasty!

Mr J ordered a vegetarian brekky called Mixed Mushrooms and it had all the “unusual” mushrooms like wood ear, field, enoki, shitake and on the menu it even says “whatever funky things we can find in fact!), these mushrooms are commonly used in Asian cuisine, it was my first time to see the wood ear appeared on brekky! It came with housemade ricotta, grilled lemon, spinach and toasted sourdough.

Mrs J‘s Eggs Benny looked very deliciouxxx! Poached eggs with leg ham, spinach, blistered tomatoes, hollandaise.

J & T had Green Eggs & Ham – scrambled eggs with pesto, leg ham and tomato relish, as wel as Nims’ Eggs – poached eggs, bacon, pesto, bacon chutney and roasted tomato.
