Long weekend is finally over! And mum will go back home in a week’s time so we wanted to do something special with her. She is a shopaholic but she said things are too expensive in Australia so she hasn’t been doing much shopping. Pretty much most shops are identical in the major shopping centres, where could we bring her to find something different? May be Gold Coast? May be Robina Town Centre or Harbour Town? To start our shopping marathon we first needed to fuel up our tummy with some delicioux yum cha dim sims. Apart from Dragon Cove Chinese Cuisine I think the next best yum cha hot spot would be Yum Cha Robina! Yum Cha Cuisine is a chained Chinese restaurants, they have two restaurants in Queensland, one in Carindale, Brisbane and the other one is at Robina, Gold Coast.
We arrived at 11am and the resutaurant was already fully packed of people. We got a table near the outdoor area and it was quite comfy sitting in the alfresco dining area when the weather was so nice! 10 minutes later we saw many people were lining up in a queue, how lucky we were! We had Har Gau (steamed prawn dumpling), Steamed Beef Balls, Baked Custard Buns, Deep-fried Prawn Rolls and Egg Tarts. Everything was very lovely except the steamed beef balls tasted a bit funny so we had to return that to the kitchen, next time we may want to try their stir-fried dishes too :)
Near the restaurants there’s also a pretty big playground for the kids and Little Monster loved it so much!
