Mr F has a sweet tooth! He loves all kinds of desserts! But I am a savory person so I don’t really fantasize sweet stuff but strangely enough I love baking for others (latest ones are the lazy easy cake mix from Adriano Zumbo and Donna Hay’s Chocolate Brownie) Anyway have you heard of desserts can reverse “s-t-r-e-s-s-e-d”? Yesterday we went to Passione Gelateria at Tenriffie after Ann Gyoza Bar, turned out it was a great great choice especially Mr F said they do the best waffles in Brisbane!

Today’s Special is Banana Waffles with Macadamia Gelato with any choice of coffee or tea for $20.50 so without hesitation we ordered it, but for gelato I am a bit fuzzy because we now have an icecream machine at home and I have to say my Strawberry Icecream is as good as the Pimpama’s Strawberry Farm 

At the end I decided to try their awarded Strawberries and Cream! Don’t you have to taste how good your competitor’s before saying yours the best? hahaha… In fact Passione’s Strawberry and Cream Gelato had won the 2012 RNA Silver Award!

Passione does Belgium Style Waffles, both savory and sweet. Mr F has high expectations about waffles because it’s one of his favourite desserts! As soon the waffles arrived on our table, he knew it must be truly good, though the presentation was not as nice as Max Brenner’s, but the sensational waffle smell is deliciouxxx. The waffles were soft and fluffy, accompanied with yummy caramelised bananas and nutty Macadamia Gelato! Superb!

It’s such a nice weekend to finish off with a cup of Flat White… Praise God we missed the terrible storm earlier the day in Brisbane! We’ll definitely be back to try other flavours of gelato and of course the WAFFLES!
