Pane e Vino, Brisbane

Pane e Vino is my favourite casual Italian restaurant in Brisbane CBD.  It’s located at the busy intersection of Albert and Charlotte Street where heaps of people passing by every day.  My friends were staying at Royal on the Park so we decided to go somewhere closeby.  Pane e Vino had a small outdoor alfresco dining area and an indoor split level relaxed modern décor.  We had a Spaghetti Con Frutti Di Mare (Prawns, Scallops, Mussells and Calamari tossed in a Garlic and Tomato Sugo $24.5), Pappardelle Pesto e Pollo (Chicken, Sundried Tomato Pesto, Onion, Baby Spinach and Cracked Pepper in Creamy Sago $23) and Risotto Cacciatore (Chicken, Mushroom, Sundried Tomato & Olives $22).  The Spaghetti Con Frutti Di Mare is full of fresh and tasty seafood (really out of expectation with this price tag).  The Chicken Pappardelle has a rich pesto flavour and the cream sauce was just right, not too thick and not too overpowering.  The Risotto is huge, which is just perfect for my 6 month pregnant girlfriend, and it’s creamy and al dente.  Service at Pane e Vino is very good, even though on a busy day the staff is attentive and friendly!  Fantastic casual Italian dining at a great spot at very affordable price!
